All members must complete the FISD Parent Permission Form, required for everyone. Download the PDF, have a parent sign it, then submit it digitally to any officer.

Write monthly for the journal

Active members contribute monthly posts to the IndyPhilo Journal. No experience required, just philosophical curiosity. Use the Submit a Post page.

Apply for officer (optional)

Officer applications open each semester. Apply here — interviews follow if selected.

Do I need prior philosophy experience?

Not at all. IndyPhilo is open to all experience levels. Curiosity is the only requirement.

When and where do meetings happen?

After school in Room A200 (GT Humanities), typically 4:30 to 4:50 PM. All dates announced on Remind.

Is the form required for everyone?

Yes. The FISD permission form is required for ALL members, not just officer applicants.

Can I join mid-year?

Yes. Membership is open throughout the school year. Attend a meeting, submit your form, and you're in.

What happens at a typical meeting?

Officers present a philosophical topic. Members discuss and share perspectives. Meetings are 20 minutes, focused and concise.

How do I write for the journal?

Use the Submit a Post page. Officers review submissions and publish approved posts to the journal.
